Guatemala sinkhole, 2010

In May, 2010; heavy rains from tropical storm Agatha and the lack of maintenance of the collectors likely triggered the collapse of a huge sinkhole in Guatemala City. The sinkhole has a depth of 40* meters and a diameter of 21.75* meters (likely to increase).

A sinkhole, also known as a sink, shake hole, swallow hole, swallet, doline or cenote, is a natural depression or hole in the earth's surface caused by karst processes (from wikipedia).
